Privacy Policy
Cadent Family, a product of Longtable Labs
This policy explains what information Cadent Family collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Longtable Labs (“we”, “us”) makes Cadent Family. If anything here is unclear, contact us at privacy@longtablelabs.com.
What we collect
We collect only what the app needs to work as a shared family organiser:

We do not collect your contacts, your location, your browsing history, or advertising identifiers. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
How schedule photos are read
The distinguishing feature of Cadent Family is that you can photograph a paper schedule — a school newsletter, a sports card — and the app reads it into suggested calendar events for you to review.
- When you upload such a photo, its image is sent to Anthropic's API (Anthropic, the maker of the Claude AI models) to be read and turned into text and dates.
- Anthropic processes the image to return the schedule it finds. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, data submitted through the API is not used to train their models.
- The events the photo produces are shown to you for review. Nothing is added to your calendar until you approve it.

If you do not use the photo-import feature, no images are sent to Anthropic.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored in Cadent Family's own database, used solely to provide the app to you and your family. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. The only external service that receives your content is Anthropic's API, and only the schedule photos you choose to upload, only for the purpose described above.
Family sharing and privacy within a family
Cadent Family is shared by design: members of the same family see the shared calendar, lists and meal plan. You control the visibility of individual events — everyone, just you, or a chosen list of people. Parents can see their children's events; adults keep their own events private from one another unless shared. Anyone you invite to your family, using an invite code, can see the shared content of that family.
Children
Cadent Family is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian, who adds family members including children. A child's calendar information is entered and managed by the adults in their family. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children outside of this family context.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data and the content you own are removed as described below.
How to delete your account and your data
You can have your account and its data deleted at any time:
- Email us at privacy@longtablelabs.com from the address on your account, asking to delete your account. We will confirm and remove your personal data and the content you own.
- Deleting your membership removes you from your family. Shared content you created may remain visible to the rest of your family unless you ask for it to be removed too — tell us in your request if you want that.
Security
Access to your family's data is restricted to members of that family, enforced both in the app and in the database. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no method of storage or transmission is ever completely secure.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you within the app or by email.
